A man is told to go to Nineveh and buys a ticket the other way. A storm comes up and the boat starts coming apart. The crew are praying to anybody who will listen, throwing cargo over the side, and the one man on board who knows God is asleep below deck.
They draw lots. It falls on him. He tells them to throw him in, and the sea goes quiet the moment he goes under. Something comes up from the bottom and takes him in.
Three days in the dark. Weeds round his head. And from down there, he prays, and he is heard.
