The story

Four days gone. A stone on the door, his sisters on the ground, half the town crying in the garden. And he waited two days before he even set off.

When he gets there he does not preach. He stands there and cries. Then he looks at the dark and calls one name, and a dead man walks out into the afternoon with his hands still wrapped and his face still covered.

He did not call for everybody. He called for one. And one was enough to turn the whole town.

The verse

When he had said this, he cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” He who was dead came out, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Free him, and let him go.”
